Joanne Pappas Nottage learned how to thrive despite being diagnosed with multiple autoimmune issues. She was diagnosed with her 1st autoimmune disease, Rheumatic Fever, when she was 8 years old. Over the years, she developed new symptoms allergies, asthma, migraines, weight issues, rashes, hives, poor sleep, and eventually was diagnosed with additional autoimmune issues.
Her diagnoses include Hashimoto’s Thyroid disease, Alopecia, and Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder.

Joanne Pappas Nottage, FMCHC, NBC-HWC, is now a Board Certified, Functional Medicine Health Coach and is passionate about educating and empowering people in search of a new approach to addressing autoimmune disease and cognitive decline learn how to thrive despite their diagnosis.
Joanne works with her clients to help them understand and address the potential root causes of their autoimmune issues. She is also trained to support people implementing the Dr. Bredesen’s RECODE protocol to prevent or reverse cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s Disease.
Recognizing that each client’s situation is unique, Joanne advocates for a collaborative, integrative, custom approach using the best of Western Medicine, Functional Medicine and lifestyle changes to help identify and address the cause(s) of their symptoms so they too can thrive.
While implementing sustainable diet and lifestyle changes in the areas of stress, sleep, exercise, and support are the foundation of her work with clients, more than anything she loves giving them hope, and celebrating their progress and success along the way to living their best lives!
